Before Steegecorp had even shown up, our site was already more problematic than most. It’s a small site with restricted access, in a heritage conservation area. We had one neighbour taking us to court for a land dispute, and our other neighbour was an aggressive addict who would fly off the handle about any noise. So, safe to say, Steegecorp had their work cut out for them… but Dan and his crew took it all in their stride.

The calm heads and expert eyes of the entire Steegecorp team meant that we made it through the build with only minimal disruptions, and we have been left with a stunning home that has survived endless storms and two toddlers.

Dan would often start conversations like this. Conversations which would always lead us to make better decisions for the build. And I think it’s Dan’s personal, considered approach that helped us vastly improve the liveability of our new home. In the end, the home Steegecorp built for our family is better than the home we originally set out to build. Largely in thanks to every conversation Dan started with “if it were my home…” And, after happily living in that home for several years; I’m happy to report that we’ve had no structural issues with our home – besides any damage caused by our toddlers.

I recently had my granny flat built by Daniel Steege of STEEGECORP PTY LTD Building Services.

I would like to praise the workmanship and ethics of Daniel’s building from the initial quotation through the stages and final completion.

Daniel was always willing to negotiate on any ideas I may have to achieve a result that was to my satisfaction.

I would also like to praise Daniel’s tradesperson and offsider Matt who was always a very willing worker and helpful to satisfy my ideas.

I could not speak more highly of Daniel’s contract trades people in particular Bill the Electrician, Dave the Plumber and Bart the Painter these tradesman were always outstanding to achieve a result to my satisfaction.

Finally I would recommend Daniel Steege as being very thorough and competent builder to meet his customer requirements.

Dan built an extension to my terrace and performed a refurbishment of the existing property. The work was from a specification from a architect and used as the blue print for the work. The house being old had some hidden gems to deal with and that was discussed, an approach agreed to resolve was done in consultation with Dan.

His work is of a high standard and consults with his client to ensure the specification is being met. During the course of the build the attention to detail was obvious and contributed to the quality finish.

Dan is approachable and professional and his team worked well. I found the onsite meetings useful as I was in tune with the progress and my degree of confidence in the work being perform was high. I would use Dan again if the need arose.

Steegecorp has recently performed renovation work, including extensions and a new bathroom, to my heritage listed property in Balmain.

Under the project management of Fiona from ARFM architects, the renovation has proved to be of outstanding quality and has drawn spontaneous admiration from all recent visitors and tradesmen to the home.

Throughout the course of the construction, the site’s limited accessibility presented unique challenges, creating difficulties with neighbours that Dan handled with great diplomacy. I’ve no hesitation in recommending Dan’s work.

In mid 2015 I needed the services of a qualified builder to fix a difficult storm water problem in my bottom rumpus room. I secured the services of Steegecorp after looking at a few other builders. The deciding factor for us was around Daniel Steeges professionalism, honest approach and eye for detail. We knew that the repairs were going to be significant and we needed to have a level of trust in the proposed approach to the problem and the pricing. We definitely felt this level of trust in Daniel.

Throughout the work which spanned approx 4 months, Daniel kept us regularly informed of what his team was doing for the day and when they will be back next. He proactively offered advice and solutions around the work that was in our best interests. We could then make an informed decision. In most cases we took Daniels advice and were very happy with the end result.

You hear horror stories about builders who take forever to do the work or not complete it. I was nervous about this each time I thought about fixing the problem. Daniel put me at ease around this with his overall professionalism and experience. The overall experience was nothing but positive in that Daniel got in, got the job done, utilised his experience and kept us regularly informed. The problem has now been fixed in the rumpus room and I would be more than happy to recommend Steegecorp.
